The whole country was debating about the release of a movie when there was a threat alert from JuD (whatever that acronym means) about the blasts in Pune. Shiv Sena issue made it to ‘panel discussions’ and Pakistan players being ignored in IPL was good enough for 2 days – but the terror threat never made it to any channel whatsoever. Well, if you thought this was just coincidence; think again. During the 26/11 blasts none of the media nor the government even paid any attention to the threat. Well, it could be because the issue is sensitive and it shouldn’t come out, you say. But what happened during 26/11 proves it wrong. Indian news channels were busy streaming the live telecast of the attacks, so that the terrorists in some corner of Pakistan could see what is happening. The same happened during the Kargil war as well. A ‘famous and revered female journalist’ risked her life to be at Kargil and show them where our soldiers were hiding!
The government is quick enough to deploy 10,000 policemen to save the young and dynamic leader who is working hard to derail the tigers and win back Mumbai. But there is an astounding silence when it comes to Kashmir. The same government considers 1 week as not enough time to pull resources together to fight a handful of terrorists responsible for 26/11 attacks.
A movie release being blown out of proportion, a terror threat not making it into any news channel. Not once, not twice, but consistently!
They repeatedly create rifts between castes and communities through reservations and giving promises about separate states. They show us all crap so that we keep our minds busy and don’t dare to think. They were busy derailing the Shiv Senaks, when the jihadis were busy planning their attacks. Read it all together. This cannot be coincidence. Abhishek Aiswarya wedding, Aarushi murder case – there are numerous examples for outrageous reporting. Maybe each of them have a story to say.

The sad thing is that good people like you and me don’t do anything about it. We know all this is pathetic, but all that we do is rant about it and then go to sleep. Time to rethink.
Think beyond……..Have you ever thought why someone would ever threaten some one? If u think the answer will be very simple.
Its better to make sure that threats never occur rather than trying to counter threats. Who ever spreads hatred let it be A, B or C is doing no good for this world.

I absolutely agree. Ofcourse, rubbish things like “terrorists have no religion”, “whoever kills has no religion” etc. can be said, but it doesn’t work. In my opinion, a person who threatens others has his own fears and insecurity. That doesn’t mean a normal sane person has to put up with all these unwanted elements, just for “human rights”.

Threatening some one is not part of human rights at all. But human rights ia important.

What causes insecurity?
This infact is one among the reasons for terrorism. And this insecurity feeling could be expoited by —– to get them in to terrorism. The only way out is isolate all those who spread narrowmindedness be it A,B or C. You cant say A is like this so I MR B will also be like this. Thats not gonna take us anywhere.
Regionalism ,Nationalism, Religion, caste, color etc are being used to divide ppl and to make ppl fight with each other. Historians play their part too by inflicting severe wounds to one’s mind by constantly reminding us about bad events in the past. Animals are better bcoz they think about survival.
Its 2010 think why a bomb explodes in Ireland or uzbekistan or sudan or srilanka or Iraq or Afganisthan or India or Russia or Chechnya or USA or UK OR Indonesia or ……….. Answer is hatred. Work for a new word order yes there are certain things that you can lear from history tooo.
Isolate all those narrow minded ppl. The small thing will be beautiful.
Exactly what I wanted to say, friend. But there is a small catch, by isolation, you don’t mean dropping them in a small island or something right? Fight these unwanted elements. Eliminate them, before it spreads too much.
If someone is in front of me wanting to kill me, I wouldn’t for the life of me think about his human rights etc. This is what the government should also do. When there is some terrorist in your country, you don’t think, they are also humans and they need to be rehabilitated because of their mental stress. Eliminate them and then think of ways to prevent more people from becoming radicals and fundamentalists. That is all that is meant.

Please remember terrorists come with the intention of killing or to get killed and they are ready to die. When some one comes prepared to be killed its easy for us to kill. Yes we have to deal with them firmly with an iron hand. But at the same time u need to prevent the root cause for terrorism and that is narrowmindedness spread by all religous forces and regional parties where in Mumbai at one time south indians were targeted then north indians all for petty political gains.
Identifying the root cause is always important if we have to tackle a problem effectively. here the problem is hatred among ppl. We the youth shd make a difference by working for a new world order where there is no hatred. Now what i meant by isolation is bring up your kids teaching them to love every other human being on earth. And if you can convert a terrorist’s son to follow this ideology then you win. when there is a society with high values for love and brotherhood these terrorists or narrow minded ppl will be isolated.
When the daughter of a police officer who got killed by terrorist on 26/11 told the media that the killer terrorist who killed her father need not be punished and when the daughter of a former prime minister visted the lady who was part of the assasination team who killed her father i felt proud to be an indian bcoz i am one among them and at times when u find ppl being slapped and kicked around bcoz u speak a different language i feel embarassed and helpless. your enemy with in is more dangerous than the enemy outside. Trust me its getting worse day by day and these forces like the ones that u mentioned in your first article are only contributing to our enemy’s success by weakening our country by destroying the strong bond that the people of this country had.
I think we are pointing to the same thing right? The challenge is to remove this narrow mindedness and teach everyone that there can be many paths. But sadly most of them are not willing to listen.
All you need is the patience to explain things. If Hitler can get ppl to follow his madness and one can get a terrorist to kill others and kill himself then if you have a message for the betterment of the world and if we work genuinely towards it for THE PEOPLE OF THE WORLD. why wouldn’t they listen but sadly none of us have time for this… problems arise when ppl start listening to wrong things and that is happening in plenty.
